Pleimann Named Chair of NHSGCA National Council

Merriam, KS – August 4, 2005

The National High School Golf Coaches Association (NHSGCA) has named Dale Pleimann, assistant executive director of the Missouri State High School Athletic Association (MSHSAA), to chair the association’s National Council. Pleimann replaces Dave Harty, who stepped down as chair when he retired from the Iowa High School Athletic Association.

In his position at the MSHSAA, Pleimann is responsible for men’s and women’s golf, football and wrestling. He also works with officials and the officials recognition program. Before joining the state association staff, Dale was a teacher, coach and associate athletic director at Hickman High School in Columbia, Missouri. During his tenure at Hickman, he coached golf for five years. Pleimann is a graduate of the University of Missouri.

The National Council is an advisory board made up of NHSGCA members and representatives from organizations that have been selected for representation by the NHSGCA Board of Directors. The council makes recommendations to the board regarding the programs and services of the association and issues that are of interest to the membership.

The NHSGCA is a non-profit professional association for high school golf coaches. The mission of the association is to provide educational programs and services for high school golf coaches. For more information about the NHSGCA, call 913/236-8311 or go to www.nhsgca.org.
