The world’s oldest and largest golf
college, San Diego Golf Academy (SDGA) and the National High School Golf
Coaches Association (NHSGCA) announce a new partnership that will provide NHSGCA
members with enhanced educational opportunities.
As part of the new alliance, SDGA will provide the NHSGCA with monthly
‘eLearning’ golf tips, hold training workshops and partner in developing
online training and certification programs for NHSGCA members. The
innovative partnership illustrates SDGA’s commitment to continued
education and to ensuring that golf students receive the best possible
leadership, coaching and education.
“The NHSGCA provides its member coaches with great opportunities to share
their knowledge and experience with their peers through its newsletter and
on the website, and we’re extremely proud to work with them in increasing
that pool of knowledge and opportunity,” says Patty Adams, Director of
Marketing at the San Diego Golf Academy. “We know coaches of all
experience levels will benefit from these new programs and services.”
"NHSGCA is excited to have a partner the caliber of SDGA as a partner for
its education program," says Michelle Pond, NHSGCA executive director.
"The enhancements provided by this partnership will benefit all of our
members and subsequently, their players."
The National High School Golf Coaches Association (NHSGCA), a non-profit
professional association for high school golf coaches, provides national
leadership, meaningful educational programs and services for high school
golf coaches and promotes the educational values of high school golf.
Additionally, the NHSGCA works with other key golf associations and
organizations, such as SDGA, as part of an ongoing effort to improve
coaching at the high school level. For more information regarding NHSGCA,

Founded in 1974, SDGA is the oldest and largest two-year golf college in
the world. SDGA offers a 16-month program of golf instruction and golf
business management on five campus locations in major golf markets —
Phoenix, Honolulu, Myrtle Beach, Orlando and San Diego. The curriculum is
designed to provide graduates with the education required to get the golf
job they desire. The SDGA is accredited by the Accrediting Council for
Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) and by the Council for Higher
Education Accreditation (CHEA), a national advocate and institutional
voice for self-regulation of academic quality through accreditation.
